Although conveniently located to St. Louis, O’Fallon, Edwardsville (the “big” cities), Troy prides itself on maintaining a country feel with a unique blend of historic homes and new construction without all the congestion.
Troy has high achieving schools. Many people who relocate to the area do so because of the quality education that their children will receive. Students attend Marine Elementary, Saint Jacob Elementary, C.A. Henning Elementary, Silver Creek Elementary, Triad Middle School, Triad High School, or St. Paul Lutheran School, Maryville Christian School or St. John Neumann Catholic School if you choose a private school. Tri-Township Public Library is a great place to study or just join in the “morning mingle”.
The Great Skate is a fun place that the kids love. You can also rent the party room for birthday parties. At Jarvis Township Senior Citizen Center you can walk to get fit or join in on puzzle and game night. There are several other workout facilities in the area to cater to the young and old.
There is Tri-Township Park with its expansive walking trails, multiple ball fields, playgrounds, a small lake and even a petting zoo. Each year they have a fantastic fireworks display, one of the best around!
